Lorraine Clarke

Sales Associate, Licensed Real Estate Salesperson

The real estate market has always interested me and I have followed market trends and conditions for many years I have had extensive personal real estate experience as a buyer and seller, with transactions in several locations within New York including Albany, Greene, Montgomery, Nassau and Rensselaer counties Within the tri-city area I have lived in Delmar, East Greenbush, Glenmont and currently reside in Loudonville My personal transactions have not only provided me with substantial hands-on experience as a real estate consumer but have also provided me with a strong foundation in home design, construction, renovation and maintenance Thus when given the opportunity to pursue a second career I took steps necessary to become a licensed real estate agent That decision has proven to be an exciting and rewarding experience and I enjoy the opportunity to work with local and relocating clients.

I am a retired microbiologist, with a B.S. degree in microbiology from Syracuse University and a Ph.D. in Pathology from SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn My area of specialization is clinical laboratory microbiology; I was employed by the New York State Department of Health and the SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn I also served as assistant professor of pathology at SUNY HSC Brooklyn and adjunct associate professor of microbiology at Long Island University in Brooklyn.

I have come to realize that success in both real estate and science requires the same basic skills

  • attention to detail
  • thoroughness and dedication
  • ability to explain information and procedures clearly
  • relentless capacity for searching out information

My goal is to ensure that my clients will benefit from these skills and be informed, knowledgeable and satisfied real estate consumers.

Retirement has also allowed me the luxury of time to pursue other interests including golf, gardening, growing orchids, sketching and painting, and traveling. I am president of the Loudonville Garden Club and serve on the scholarship committee of the Capital Region Women’s Network, an organization that promotes personal and professional development for women through advocacy, education and information I also retain a connection with my microbiology “roots” as a volunteer in the public health laboratory setting and as a member of the New York City branch of the American Society for Microbiology.
