"RealtyUSA Adds 14 Offices in Central New York!

Williamsville, New York - RealtyUSA, the largest independent real estate company in New York State, announced today that is has acquired the assets of Gallinger/GMAC Real Estate of Syracuse, New York. The new entity will be named Gallinger RealtyUSA.

Merle L. Whitehead, President/CEO of RealtyUSA, announced the news today at a company meeting held at the Oncenter Complex Convention Center with managers, agents and employees. Gallinger RealtyUSA has 14 offices, 241 agents and 44 employees in the Central New York Region. Gallinger RealtyUSA is a member of the Syracuse, Oswego, Cayuga, Jefferson, Cortland, Rochester and Ithaca Board of REALTORS.

Gallinger Real Estate was founded in 1959, when John Gallinger opened a small real estate company in Camillus. Ironically, this is the same year that Stovroff & Herman REALTORS (RealtyUSA's predecessor) was founded in Buffalo. Gallinger's plan was to create a new kind of company, one that would grow and prosper from a foundation of professionalism, education, and outstanding service. Gallinger's revolutionary education and training systems made the firm #1 in Central New York in 15 years.

In 1996, after 37 years as the company's president, John Gallinger turned over the reins of the company to John F. Osta, President/CEO. Osta and the Executive Team will remain in their roles with Gallinger RealtyUSA.

""Gallinger has proven that they are the trendsetters in the Central New York real estate market"" -Stated Whitehead. It is a privilege to be affiliated with this company that I have known and respected for decades.

John F. Osta, President/CEO, has had the opportunity to study all of the major real estate affiliations throughout the United States and concluded that RealtyUSA far exceeds their expectations and requirements. Consumers in the Greater Syracuse area will be extremely pleased that the Number 1 real estate company in New York has chosen to be part of the Central New York area. RealtyUSA will add many new services on top of the great services already offered by the Gallinger organization.

The Gallinger RealtyUSA acquisition, combined with additional 2005 acquisitions including Christensen RealtyUSA of The Thousand Islands, The Wheat Agency of Corning and the new Elmira and Horseheads offices, move RealtyUSA to a milestone of 24,000 real estate transactions and $3.1 billion in sales volume for 2005.

RealtyUSA is the largest, independent real estate company in New York State, with 56 offices including this acquisition, 1,700 agents and 300 employees. RealtyUSA is ranked #8 in the U.S. by RealTrends. It is independently owned and operated by Merle L. Whitehead, President/CEO."
