Joel Koval of RealtyUSA named the 2009 Realtor of the Year

Greater Capital Association of Realtors® Names 2009 Realtor of the Year

 

(October 15, 2009 – Albany, NY)  The Greater Capital Association of Realtors® (GCAR) has named Joel Koval of RealtyUSA the 2009 Realtor® of the Year.  

The REALTOR®-of-the-Year Selection Committee reviews candidates’ professional and civic lives including their industry association activity at a local, state and national level; their civic activity; their business accomplishments; and their reputation for ethical conduct. 

A twenty-five year licensee, both in California and the Capital Region; Mr. Koval had an extensive industry record that includes eighteen years as an instructor in real estate sales and marketing; Six years as branch manager and Joint Venture Partner in Mulhearn Realtors of Long Beach California; Eight years as the Training Director at Mulhearn; and 12+ years he has spent as an Agent in RealtyUSA’s largest Capital District office in Clifton Park.

Industry-wise, Mr. Koval is a very active member of GCAR, CRMLS – the Capital Region Multiple Listing Service, and CIREB – the Commercial Industrial Real Estate Board.  He is a NYS approved Real Estate Instructor and has served as such for GCAR, training fellow Realtors® in the purchase and management of income properties.  He has been a member of the CRMLS Board of Directors since November 2003.  As the current CRMLS President, Mr. Koval has provided extraordinary leadership bringing about advances in systems, forms, and the introduction of a new call center.  In his role as a local Real Estate salesperson, Joel has consistently achieved RealtyUSA’s President’s Council status, reserved for top producing agents, and has excelled as a Certified Buyer Representative.

In the community, Mr. Koval has sat on the Clifton Park Zoning Board of Appeals and is a current Town of Clifton Park Planning Board Member.

When Joel isn’t selling real estate or advancing that cause, he’s spending time with family or enjoying one of several interests that include hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, skiing, and golf.
